Emergency Care

At Eyes on Rosemont, we are fully equipped and trained to manage and treat most types of ocular emergencies. 

Below are some examples of a potential ocular emergency:

• Vision Loss (acute)
• Flashes/Floaters
• Red Eyes (redness, pain, irritation, itching, discharge, abrasion, light sensitivity, dryness, blood accumulation)
• Suspected infections
• Foreign Body in eye (metal included)
• Contact Lens complications
• Shingles w/ suspected eye involvement
• Double Vision
• Corneal Abrasions/scratches   
• Lid Pain or Bumps 

We have a medical clinic integrated into our practice that allots time for ocular emergencies/walk-ins. This allows us to see these patients for same day appointments if deemed necessary. 

In the case when we need to refer to ophthalmology we can refer patients to the correct ophthalmologist specialist, whom we have close working relationships here in Portland.
